About reservation

Q. When can I make a reservation?
A.

Reservations by phone are accepted approximately one year in advance.
Reservations from the official website will be accepted from 6 months in advance.
(※For some dates such as long holidays and special days, sales may start just before.)

Q. What should I do if I need to change the number of people, date, or cancel the reservation?
A.

If you apply through a travel agency, please contact the travel agency. If you apply from the Internet book site, please check the terms and conditions of the site you used and change the reservation details.

Q. What about charges for child?
A.

Junior high school students and above will be charged as adults.
Elementary school students: 70% of adult charge
Infants : 50% of adult charge
If you do not need meals and bedding, we will charge a facility usage fee of 2,200 yen from 0 years old. (incl. 10% tax)
※Some plans have changed pricing for elementary school students and infants.

Q. What are the cancellation charges?
A.

Please check the pamphlet, etc., as it varies depending on how to make a reservation.
If you make a reservation directly by phone or on our official website, we will charge 30% of the accommodation fee from 5 days before the date of stay, 50% for the day before, 100% for the day, and 100% for no-shows.

Q. Is it possible to pay in advance?
A.

You can either visit the ryokan by the day before your stay, or you can pay by bank transfer.

Q. From what time to what time can reservations and inquiries be made by phone?
A.

You can call us from 9:00 to 21:00.

About facility

Q. Is the ryokan barrier-free?
A.

Although it is not completely barrier-free, we have ramps and wheelchairs for rent, and handrails at the entrance of the rooms.

Q. Do you have a game corner?
A.

Sorry, we do not have a game corner.

Q. Do you have a place for after-parties?
A.

Karaoke rooms are available.

Q. Do you have a sauna?
A.

We are very sorry, but we do not have a sauna.

Q. Is there a place to store valuables?
A.

Free safety boxes are installed in the changing rooms and guest rooms. We can also keep it for you at the front desk.

Q. Do you have non-smoking rooms?
A.

Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the ryokan except in designated areas. If it turns out that you have smoked in the guest room, etc., we will charge the cleaning fee, repair fee, etc.
※If you smoke, please use the “smoking space” in the building.

Q. Is the toilet equipped with a washlet?
A.

All toilets in the ryokan are equipped with washlet.

Q. Do the rooms have baths and toilets?
A.

All rooms have unit bath (separate bathtub and washing area) and a Western-style toilet.

Q. Is there a place in the ryokan where you can have a late-night meal or a light meal?
A.

There is a late-night restaurant called “Yuzen” in the ryokan, which is open from 19:30 to midnight. (Last order 23:30) We have menus such as ramen and ochazuke.

Q. Is it possible to have lunch in the ryokan?
A.

We will prepare lunch for advance reservation, but we may not be able to accept it due to the balance of reservations. Kawara-machi has a variety of Japanese, Chinese, and Western restaurants. For details, please check the restaurant information on the Kawara-machi walk page.

Q. Do you have a refrigerator/freezer?
A.

A refrigerator is provided in all rooms. The inside is empty, so you can use it freely.
Please ask the front desk for frozen items.

Q. Do you have a humidifier?
A.

An air purifier with a humidifying function is available, although it is not installed in the room. As the number is limited, please let us know in advance if you would like one.

Q. Do you have a souvenir shop?
A.

It is open until 21:30 at night and from 8:00 in the morning.

Q. Are there vending machines for drinks and cigarettes?
A.

Vending machines for drinks are on 1F and 2F. You can also buy drinks at the souvenir shop. Also, there is no cigarette vending machine in the ryokan. Please purchase at a convenience store near us. In addition, please smoke in the designated smoking space. (We have 4 in the ryokan)

Q. Do you have private baths?
A.

We are sorry, but we do not have private baths.

About service

Q. Is it possible to connect to the internet or Wi-Fi in the guest rooms?
A.

Wireless Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
Please use the Wi-Fi after entering the password written on the guide in the room.

Q. What about allergies?
A.

Please let us know when you make a reservation. We will do our best to accommodate you. We cannot respond to notices on the day of your stay.

Q. Is there a tavern in the ryokan?
A.

Yes, we have a tavern.

Q. Does the parking lot have a roof? How about parking fee?
A.

The large outdoor parking lot opposite the ryokan has no roof. Reservations are not required.
If you are visiting by motorbike and would like a covered parking lot, please let us know in advance as we will inform you separately. Both are free of charge.

Q. If I stay for more than one night, will the menu change?
A.

Yes. The menu changes daily, depending on the chef.

Q. Please tell me the check-in and check-out times
A.

Check-in is generally from 15:00. Please check out by 10:00. Early check-in and late check-out are available depending on the accommodation plan. Please contact us in advance.

Q. Can I extend the check-out time?
A.

Advance notice is required, but if you continue to use the room after the original check-out time, an additional charge (2,200 yen (10% tax included) per hour) will be charged.
※Depending on the reservation status, we may not be able to accept your request.

Q. Can I use a credit card?
A.

Yes. You can use JCB, VISA, MasterCard, MUFJ, UnionPay, etc. Electronic money cannot be used, but you can use “PayPay” for QR code payment. For some products, we may ask you to pay only in cash.

Q. Can I stay with my pet?
A.

We are very sorry, but we do not allow pets, except for guide dogs and service dogs.
If you wish, we will introduce you to the nearest pet hotel.

Q. I would you like to send my luggage to the ryokan in advance, could you keep it for me?
A.

Yes, we canl keep it for you. When sending, please be sure to write the date of your stay and the name of the reservation on it.

Q. Is there a convenience store nearby?
A.

There is a convenience store within a 5-minute walk.

Q. Do you have a shuttle to the nearest station?
A.

We do not have a pick-up service, so please use a Gifu bus or taxi. On the other hand, however, a free bus runs every morning at 9:30 to Meitetsu Gifu/JR Gifu Station for drop-off.

Q. Do you have massage?
A.

There is a course of 4,400 yen (including 10% tax) for 40 minutes and 6,600 yen (including 10% tax) for 60 minutes.

Treatment will be performed in the guest’s room.
Q. What size is the yukata?
A.

We have yukata for adults ranging from 150cm to 180cm, and yukata for infants and children ranging from 90cm to 140cm. In addition, colored yukata are available for rent at the yukata corner on the 1st floor. A set of colored yukata, obi, and Geta costs 550 yen (including tax). Please use it.

Q. Do you handle courier services?
A.

“Yu-Pack” and “Kuroneko Yamato” are available at the souvenir shop.

Q. Do you have an esthetic?
A.

We are sorry, but we do not offer esthetic services. We recommend in-room massage instead.

Q. Do you provide medicines?
A.

According to the provisions of Article 24 of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law (former Pharmaceutical Affairs Law), we do not provide medicines at our ryokan. Please prepare in advance before traveling or visiting the ryokan, or the front desk will guide you to hospitals and pharmacies nearby, so please contact us if necessary.
